What Customers Say About Stargate SG-1 Season 8 (Thinpak):

Still,if you are a sci-fi fan or a Stargate fan,you will want this season. I mean,I love this season, but some of the changes made me sad, like that Oneill doesnt go off world anymore.Stuff like that. This is the coolest Sci-fi series ever. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that its not my favorite season.

I liked the feeling that this show truly ended the series, and wrapped up a number of storylines. I was surprised how a series 8 seasons in could still be so gripping and entertaining. The last two feel almost as if they were done to complete a contract rather than actually forward a story. Well, except for Richard Dean Anderson, who was mostly phoning it in this season.

The Eight Season of Stargate is largley a success, but beckons the question of why there are two more seasons available on dvd. If you've enjoyed the show before, there's plenty to love about this season. Overally, I was impressed with Stargate season 8. Season 8 wraps up all the storylines from the past few years, including the gaould, replicators, and some others.

Also, the last two episodes seemed out of place as the story clearly ended during the third to last episode. Watch it. And it wraps them up well. Most shows would have just churned out more of the same, but this season really pushed the envelope.

Getting the Threads 90min extended episode versionUnfortunately, the box arrived with damaged (and ripped) sides, and the DVDs were sliding around inside the cases (indicating two possibilities: A - Discs just fell off the fasteners; or B - The fasteners were broken, meaning the cases are defective). The good part was the discs just fell out of their placeholders, and thankfully were not damaged during transit. Also, I was hoping to get the 90min version of Treads, but I got the syndicated version. Storage space (I have the original box set, and it takes up too much space)2). I'm wondering if getting the extended (originally 90min aired version, not 60min syndicated version) actually exists anymore. Is it me, or the have packaging issues become a reoccurring motif. I only wanted to get the thinkpak for two reasons:1).

great way to see jack go.awesome anyway, because its sg-1 , duh.

Overall very happy with this season. We own every season of Stargate, and we really loved this one, just like the others. I think seasons 7 & 8 tied a lot of loose ends up, and therefore answered some questions that had been left hanging.
